TEA, SWORDS AND STITCHES:
A Contemporary Interpretation of Classic Kimono Design


An exhibition of contemporary kimono and accoutrements is being held at the Brush Gallery in Lowell, Massachusetts, April 4 to June 6, 2010.  The exhibition includes a display of 10 contemporary netsuke carved by Japanese and Western netsuke artists. 

In conjunction with the exhibition at the Brush Gallery, there will be a Netsuke Lecture and Slide Presentation:

Saturday, April 24 at 2 p.m.,

“Now and Then: Similarities and Differences between Today’s Netsuke and Earlier Netsuke”

given by Jeffrey Klotz.
